In mid-November this year, another meeting with a delegation from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Zielona Góra was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Nairobi. In May of this year, the deputy directors of the Institute of Legal Studies of the University of Zielona Góra, Dr. Martyna Łaszewska-Hellriegel, Prof. UZ, and Dr. Piotr Kapusta visited Nairobi. This time, the heads of the faculty and institute traveled to Kenyatta University School of Law (an agreement on cooperation between the universities was signed at the University of Zielona Góra on June 19, 2019). Cooperation is beginning to take on real shapes - as discussed at the meeting at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Nairobi by the director of the Institute of Legal Studies, Prof. Andrzej Bisztyga, and the dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration, Prof. Tadeusz Stanisławski. They announced the opening of a study program at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Zielona Góra in English, where Kenyan citizens will be able to study, and emphasized the importance of scientific cooperation and academic exchange between Kenyatta University School of Law and the University of Zielona Góra.
Mirosław Gojdź, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Kenya, emphasized the importance of cooperation between higher education institutions and businesses, which contributes to the development of entities in the public and private sectors, as well as regional development. He expressed hope that cooperation between Polish and Kenyan scientific centers will develop economic cooperation between Poland and Kenya.
Also present at the meeting were Prof. Martyna Łaszewska-Hellriegel from UZ and Prof. Tomasz Milej from Kenyatta University School of Law, as well as Joanna Szymańska, Head of the Political-Economic Department, and Dominika Mosek, Consul of the Republic of Poland in Nairobi from the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Nairobi.
