The Second Round of Faculty Open Days at UZ

The Faculty Open Days at the University of Zielona Góra have come to the end. In the second round, the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Law and Economics, and the Faculty of Science and Natural Sciences had the opportunity to present themselves. Just like before, prospective students could actively explore the academic offerings of our university. High school students were welcomed with engaging lectures, unique demonstrations, interesting workshops, and stands prepared by student research groups.

From Monday, March 17,a lot was happening at the Faculty of Arts at UZ, which decided to keep its doors open for five days. Until Friday, participants could take advantage of instrumental music consultations. There were also conducting workshops available. Those interested in graphic techniques found something for themselves in the rich schedule, with workshops on the basics of linocut organized specifically for them. Additionally, there were photography sessions and screenings of animated films as part of the nationwide independent animation festival O!PLA. The Open Days at the Faculty of Arts at UZ concluded on March 21.

Exciting attractions and valuable information were also available during the Open Days of the Faculty of Law and Economics at UZ, which took place on March 18–19. The event began with an official opening attended by faculty and institute authorities. Additionally, participants had the opportunity to join workshops dedicated to topics such as Geographic Information Systems and logistics, including a session titled "SIMSY in Logistics." High school students also learned about saving money through a lecture on "Managing Personal Finances," which covered various savings and investment instruments with different levels of risk, as well as financial market credit products. Those interested in law could take part in workshops on crime scene evidence, as well as criminal quizzes and puzzles.

Meanwhile, March 19 was a lively and fascinating day at the Open Day of the Faculty of Science and Natural Sciences at UZ. Prospective students had access to a game and puzzle zone, a lecture on "Genetically Modified Mice – Is It Possible?", a workshop titled "What’s Hidden in Yogurt?", casual discussions about nutrition, and a tour along the Trail of Zielona Góra Witches. It is worth noting that the Faculty of Science and Natural Sciences at UZ currently offers five degree programs in English, which may serve as an additional incentive for potential candidates.

The Faculty Open Days at the University of Zielona Góra ran from March 5, featuring numerous events that attracted high school students not only from Zielona Góra but also from nearby cities and regions.
